TPM - Tesla Pack Monitor

Tesla Pack Monitor in Action

Check Tesla battery packs outside of the car - and in

Tesla Pack Monitor connects to classic S/X or modern 3/Y/S/X battery packs and gives you a quick detailed report of battery condition. If you are diagnosing a battery pack or at a salvage yard testing a bunch of battery packs or refurbishing a pack at your shop you will want the Tesla Pack Monitor!

The TPM has a rugged case which holds adapter cables for different packs.   Just attach to correct adapter, plug it in to a pack and report is automatically generated within a minute.  Unplug and move to the next pack, changing the adapter cable if needed.  Reports can be viewed and retrieved from the unit with a web browser.

Information in the reports and on screen includes:

  • Serial number, part number (handy for mystery packs with missing labels)
  • Miles on the pack (Classic S/X. Estimated from total discharge for 3/Y/S/X)
  • State of health: reduction in capacity since new
  • DC fast charge (supercharge) vs AC charge data
  • Voltages for all bricks (cell groups) & imbalances, sorted by module - easy to spot bad cells and where to repair
  • Scan My Tesla (SMT) and similar apps can be connected to the TPM via WiFi
  • This product under active development and supports updates over WiFi
  • And more..

The unit is currently $500 and includes the cable for Classic S/X.  The cable for 3/Y is an additional $50.  Same for 2021+ S/X.

TPM can also report on in-vehicle packs.  Requires our OBD-2 male cable ($25) and model specific Tesla diagnostic port to OBD-2 female connector (widely available at Amazon etc)

Shipping is an additional $20 in the USA, $30 to Canada and $45 to Europe.
